Starlix: Launch Guard · Last updated October 30, 2026
Starlix: Launch Guard ("Launch Guard", "we") is a Shopify app published by SyncKify. It checks a store before a sale or product launch and lists what would lose money or break. This policy explains what data the app reads when a merchant installs it, why, how long it is kept and how to have it deleted.
What we read from your store
- Shop details: name, myshopify domain, currency, time zone and your Launch Guard plan.
- Products and variants: titles, prices, compare-at prices, cost per item and inventory levels.
- Discounts: titles, codes, values, dates, usage limits, combinations and the products they apply to.
- Rollouts: names, status, dates and traffic allocation.
- Orders: the order date, the order total and the quantity sold per variant. We do not read customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses, and we do not access customer records.
The app only reads this data. It never changes products, prices, discounts, orders or rollouts. On the Pro plan, if you turn it on, it adds notes about your campaigns to the Shopify Analytics timeline.
Why we use it
- To find problems before a launch, such as discounts below cost, stock that will run out and rollouts that won't go live.
- To estimate how fast each variant sells, so stock can be checked against the demand you expect.
- To compare revenue and order counts during a finished campaign with the period before it.
We don't sell this data, use it for advertising or share it with other merchants.
What we store and for how long
- The results of each scan: the issues found, your readiness score and a summary of discounts and rollouts. Scans are deleted automatically after 180 days.
- Your Launch Guard settings and the issues you chose to ignore.
- An access token issued by Shopify, so the app can read your store.
Order data is read when a scan or report runs and is not stored on its own.
Deletion
When you uninstall Launch Guard, its access token is deleted right away. Shopify then sends a request to delete the shop's data, and we delete all scans, settings, ignored issues and annotation records for that shop. We also handle Shopify's customer data requests; because we store no customer data, there is nothing to return or remove for a customer.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest with our hosting and database providers. Access is limited to the people who run and support the app.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about your shop, or ask us to delete it, at any time by email. Customers of a store should contact that store, which can send the request to us through Shopify.
